About TERRA-MED

TERRA-MED is an interregional doctoral project funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions that trains a new generation of researchers to address the Water–Land–Energy nexus in Mediterranean territories. It is led by the Euroregion Pyrenees–Mediterranean, bringing together the Region Occitanie (France), Catalonia and the Balearic Islands (Spain) within a cross-border research ecosystem. Through this collaboration, TERRA-MED connects world-class universities, research centres and socio-economic actors committed to advancing resilience in the face of climate change.

33 early-stage researchers will pursue doctoral projects within a uniquely interregional, interdisciplinary and intersectoral environment. Each researcher will be jointly supervised by academic and, where relevant, non-academic partners. All doctoral candidates will undertake mandatory cross-border or international stays, as well as secondments in complementary sectors.

Doctoral candidates will receive advanced and technical training related to their research topics, alongside modules on innovation, entrepreneurship, project management, ethics, open science, etc.
